stop leaving civil rights of the GLBT community in the hands of the states, and make marriage equality a federal law!

For decades the GLBT community has fought for our civil rights with change coming slowly, if at all in some states. The recent election and victories for gay marriage and support declaring DOMA unconstitutional has ignited the GLBT community and their supporters. The time for change is NOW! Throughout history, though the efforts of the people certainly have fueled and ignited the fires of change, it was the Federal Government who had to finally step up and set history on its right path. A recent poll by CBS News/NY Times shows 62% of citizens feel that we deserve the right to either marriage or civil unions. That's the MAJORITY! Civil Rights issues should not be left up to the states! The time for marriage equality is NOW! We are Americans, and we deserve the same rights as everyone else!
