Once you are convicted of a DUI.It stays on your record 75 yrs and stops you from getting certain jobs and you are forever judged in a harsh manner seen as a drunk.A lot of people with a DUI just get off from work having a few drinks and go home. It's wrong to have people pay the rest of they're lives for an incident that occured yrs ago. drug offenders can have witheld aujudication, battery, grand thefts and all but not a DUI.Many people make this mistake and pay a higher price yrs after they have proven themselves to society with no further incident. Many people plead no contest because they want to resolve it quicker but don't have time to play the back and forth game to ''make a deal'' with prosecuters and find out afterwards it's on theyre record for life,it's wrong & it needs to change
