Stop letting businesses trample consumer rights. Ban mandatory arbitration clauses and similar contracts.

Created by D.C. on September 08, 2014

Many consumers are finding that they have no legal recourse when it comes to dealing with a business that has neglected them because the industry has taken a position where every business in an industry puts a mandatory arbitration clause in their service contracts where they choose the "unbiased" third party for arbitration. They also remove the right of the consumer to sue for damages with a trial by jury. Businesses have no oversight; worse, they have the government backing them by allowing these kinds of contracts that are prevalent in every industry.

Similarly, the cell industry has gotten to a point where the big names in cellphone communications are able to charge exorbitant fees and prices for poor service all the while preventing you from leaving a bad business. This has to stop.
