For decades deep-pocketed corporate shills have been using their money and influence to gain access to politicians into order to bend their ears on purported shortages of engineers.
Evidence abounds that there is, in fact, a surplus of engineers and, as a result, age discrimination is rampant in the field of engineering. The fact that inflation-adjusted wages for engineers have been declining over the last decade is clearly indicative of the lies being spread regarding engineering shortages.
I petition the White House to stop all efforts to further the destruction of the engineering profession, most notably those that serve to import foreign engineers at the expense of the domestic engineering workforce.
