Stop the live-saving Epipen price gouging

Created by M.R. on August 20, 2016

Epinephrine pens are used to save people all over the country from death by allergic reaction. Lately the sole company that makes them, Mylan, has been raising the price of the epipen despite it being an old product purchased from Merck. Now the cost of an epipen is so high that many people have started forgoing the live saving drug in order to save money. Wikipedia says "The wholesale cost of epinephrine in the developing world is between US$0.10 and US$0.95 a vial. An autoinjector for anaphylaxis, as of 2015 in the United States, costs about 100 USD. In 2016 this increased to about 600 USD."
