The case of David Eckert and Timothy Young from Hidalgo County, New Mexico, who were taken in handcuffs to medical facilities and forced to undergo X-Rays, rectal examinations, and in Eckert's case, a colonoscopy, must be investigated and prevented from happening again. Law enforcement personnel who abuse their power in this way should be terminated and prosecuted. Similarly, hospitals who perform these procedures and bill the suspects for them should lose their accreditation, and doctors their medical license.
