Mandation of flu vaccine for healthcare workers is a violation of the individuals right to medical privacy. Medicare DOES NOT require individuals covered by medicare to be subjected to mandatory FLU vaccines. This is marketed as a health concern but in reality it is a mandate for reimbursement. If a facility does not reach 90% complaince of healthcare workers receiving the vaccine then reimbursements are being witheld. The vaccine is not without risk-according to the pamplet insert of the vaccine. It has no long term testing for reproductive health or carcenogens. Until further long term testing is done on this vaccine why should healthcare workers be physically assaulted. The number one prevention against flu is proper hand washing. Let's educate not mandate!!!!
