stop manifacturing and selling firearms, as it is my right to live in peace, without the daily threat of being harmed.

In this current situation, I - and many of friends and people i know - will think about visiting the USA, because the threat of being injured or even killed by some random gunfight is just not calculable. It is bad enough that billions of weapons already exist: why produce more handguns and rifles AND sell these in the name of "Freedom Rights" to people outside the law enforcement.
If the weapons industry - with the help of the NRA - succeeds selling their products to the "good guys", they will either stop producing or start to sell - propably even legaly - to the "bad guys".
And : handguns and automatic rifles are in its nature tools to injure and/or kill people, you don't go hunting deer or bear with a revolver or AK 47. Only the state may have the right to own guns.
