Stop the media from glorifying murderers.

Created by A.D. on July 15, 2014

The recent gun violence in this country is disturbing and it seems like every other day a national headline of a gunman killing innocent people for no reason other than the media attention. A few days ago a New Jersey City police officer was shot and killed by a man who told a witness to watch the news later because he was going to be "famous". Shooting events like Columbine, Virginia Tech, the Colorado movie theater shooting and the Sandy Hook tragedy that were once rare have become almost commonplace.

My request is simple, we need law(s) that prevents the media from glorifying murders like they are celebrities, there is no need to mention their names, no headlines, no in depth coverage, no cover stories. Instead they should be honoring and remembering the victims of such tragedies.
