When a mass shooting happens the media turns it into a nonstop marathon about the shooter. This makes the shooter into a celebrity and household name. They're giving these psychopaths what they want attention and fame. For instance name a person who committed a mass shooting, easy right? Now name a person who stopped a mass shooting, not so easy huh. Many forensic psychologists have said that one of the worst things to do in a situation like is to publicize the shooter, all publicizing does is help encourage someone else to do the same thing. So if you truly are trying to end gun violence and protect the nation’s children help control the media from making criminals into superstars.
