We've seen it many times in the past and now even most recently with the Oregon Community College shooting, the media is still reporting the names of the gunmen who carry out these shootings and even sometimes provide a "leader board" of sorts.
If we stop the use the use and somewhat glorification of these names, we may find that less shootings stop the begin with because no one is fighting for a spot of daytime television.
