Stop Merchant Consumer Exchange from stifling innovation, and force companies to accept NFC payments, not just CurrentC

Created by K.O. on October 27, 2014

There are a handful of companies that have joined together and created the Merchant Customer Exchange, a consortium of retailers, pushing for a digital wallet. The problem is that companies that are a part of MCX are disabling working NFC payment terminals, and refusing to add this functionality in the future, thus crushing competition and limiting innovation.

The MCX CurrentC standard, is an effort the monetize customer data at the expense of privacy, security, consumer trust and loyalty. Participants are required to submit their name, address, phone number, driver license numbers, social security numbers, and banking information to a group of companies that cannot keep the information safe.

Please stop MCX, and demand companies support innovation. We want NFC payments turned back on.
