I am writing a petition because Microsoft recently agreed to buy Mojang for $2.5 billion and therefore will own Minecraft. Minecraft has always been a creative pay once game that allows kids to build creative and unlimited worlds. My sister and I even built a replica of Venice. There are no extra charges for any items, materials or powers. I can play online long distance with my friends from around the country at no extra cost. None of our parents have to worry about our being tricked into extra costs. You pay up front once and that includes free updates, skins and mods forever. The Minecraft community is worried that MS will trick us by lowering up front costs but then charge for items, powers and updates or charge monthly to subscribe. This will kill the creativity of Minecraft for kids.
