We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Stop military privatised on base housing from allowing non-federal civilians to lease government housing.

Created by W.H. on July 16, 2016

Allowing the general public to lease government/base housing presents a security risk despite any background check conducted. Also, this act discredits military members a safe and secure community. As well, civilians being allowed in base housing also gives them the opportunity to shop in the commissary and exchange, even if those privileges may not be available to them, it opens up the base and ultimately the Department of Defense to individual legal actions against the agencies trying to change the policy on who may shop at these establishments. Furthermore, the base MWR would become crowded by civilian teens and young adults that still live with the occupants polluting the privileges of the military members who swore to lay down there lives for the country.
