With the raising of minimum wage, you increase the costs of businesses to hire new employees. A minimum wage job is meant to be an entry level job. An adult should not be working a minimum wage job. By having this law, we create a situation in which hiring becomes harder to do, and workers are expecting to do more work than before, and have harder times meeting expectations.
Minimum wage laws create an atmosphere where companies do not want to create factories here compared to other countries. These laws have created things like Ford moving to Mexico, Apple hiring most of its factories in China, and the majority of our manufacturing moving to countries that do not have these laws.
