Stop the mint from making more pennies. It costs over twice as much to make the penny as its worth. Follow Canada's lead

Created by A.E. on March 30, 2012

Currently the cost for making a penny is around 2.41 cents, which means each penny costs over twice as much to make as it is actually worth. This leads to a loss of roughly $60 million a year. Stop minting the penny.
