Pennies currently cost about 1.6 cents to make. In 2013 the U.S. Mint lost $55 million producing the coin. It makes absolutely no sense to spend more money to make a coin than that coin is actually worth.
We ask our government to do away with this coin and the senseless spending that goes along with it.
