The US currently wastes billions of dollars every year on simply minting the Penny, which is a worthless coin anyway! We need to let our government know that we no longer want this obscene coin, and that It is not worth the billions being spent on it!
Specifically, what I'm looking for is a bill that forces the Mint to stop minting pennies, and forces the mint to stop using copper in Nickels and switch to something cheaper.
Transactions nation-wide can simply be rounded to the nearest nickel, unless being paid for with a credit/debit card or a check, in which case the exact change is charged.
