The mission of the Department of Defense is to provide the military forces needed to deter war and to protect the security of our country. Not deploying to third world countries to fight a pandemic outbreak. The military is equipped to deal with chemical/ biological warfare but not medical emergencies like Ebola. There is a huge risk to our military soldiers and to civilans back in the United States.
