Mobile phone carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, etc. charge customers for internet usage. If that customer wants to use said internet for another computer, the customer must pay a $15 dollar/month tethering fee to use the same internet the customer is already paying for. This is a normal practice and needs intervention. Mobile smartphones can share internet connection with laptops or like electronics- why should we pay for something that is purely under the user's control, requiring no help from the carrier? The companies continuously raise prices on new technology that they, themselves, didn't help to develop. The tethering option should be included in the mobile user's data plan at no additional charge. We consumers are paying for the same data, twice. This needs attention.
