Save the military's retirement system... In order to make budget cuts the Department of Defense (DoD) is toying with the idea of changing the military retirement system. Currently members can retire after 20 years of service and collect half of their base pay for the rest of their lives. DoD is proposing that military members can retire at 20 year of service but can't start collecting retirement until age 60 1/2. These men and women sacrifice their lives, time, blood and sweat. They spend time and more time away from families and loved ones. Military members deserve to get what they were told they would get when they joined and decided to fight for the freedom we all enjoy.
