Stop Monsanto from Genetically Modifying our food, or at least make it known to the consumers.

I am writing this petition in hopes that it will gain the support to make a difference, I am urging the Obama Administration to put an end to GMO's, also known as Genetically Modified Organisms, or at the very least to ensure that people are aware of when they are eating them. Monsanto genetically modifies many of the fruits, vegetables and other sources of nutrition that we consume on a daily basis. The seeds of these crops are modified to be able to withstand insects and weeds by basically turning the food itself into a pesticide/herbicide. A majority of people do not even know this about the food they consume(as much as 80% of processed food contains GMO's.) There is no justification for hiding what is in our food, most of us don't even know what a GMO is or the health risks associated.
