Stop the Move to Chained-CPI for social security cost of living increases for our senior citizens and military retirees.

Created by L.C. on May 21, 2013

Current retirees receive social security benefits which are indexed to the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Having social security Cost of Living (COLA) increases indexed to the Chained CPI will result in lower COLA rates for our seniors, many of whom are women and military retirees who depend on this safety net. Over time, it is a substantial reduction in promised benefits. At the very least, grandfather current seniors and those within 10 years of full retirement age.
