Stop new act proposed in Sri Lanka for keeping people under police custody for 48 Hours before producing to a Magistrate

Sri Lankan government is planning to propose a act and get a parliament approval to keep people for 48 hours in the Police Custody before producing to a Magistrate. At present, the holding period is limited to 24 hours. This proposed act will allow people in power to harm civil rights & human rights. The SL Government could not justify the reason behind this proposal.
