Stop nursing schools in America from using the HESI exit exam as a requirement to graduate!

Created by R.B. on June 29, 2015

Hi, I am a nursing student at Rhode Island College and my degree is being withheld from me because I failed to reach a certain score on a third-party vendor exit exam called the HESI, Health Education Systems Inc. I am an honor student with a 3.527 GPA, am part of Sigma Theta Tau, the nursing school's honor society, and have excelled in every part of the nursing program. The HESI was created by Susan Morrison, who has stated that the HESI was not created for punitive reasons, but rather for nursing programs to use as a remediation tool to improve their curriculum. Some schools across the country are now turning this around on their students, making it a requirement to graduate. This practice is unethical and is costing people years invested and money spent. Please help put a stop to this!
