The Obama Administration is allowing oil companies to explore waters off the Atlantic coast for deposits using seismic air guns. This technology poises a grievous threat to marine life that use sound for communication and hunting etc. It threatens to deafen whales, and will be life threatening to myriad other forms of marine life. This cannot be allowed to go ahead, and could be an ecological disaster. Exploration off the Atlantic Coast has been under a 30 year ban until recently.
