Stop Oil production near the Great Lakes

Created by C.T. on March 28, 2014

The Great Lakes are one of the United States' most precious resources. The Great Lakes contain the largest surface freshwater system on the Earth which accounts for 84% of North America's surface fresh water and is about 21% of the world's supply of surface fresh water.

The amount of living organisms in North America which are effected by this amazing water system is incalculable. Recently, oil has been spilled into our majestic fresh water system. It is our duty and obligation to take a stand now and say no to any more drilling, pumping for oil, fracking, etc near the Great Lakes. Any type of oil extraction is far too risky to be happening anywhere near our Earth's largest fresh water system.
