President Obama recently enthusiastically endorsed legislation for an "Internet Tax", to assist Brick-and-Mortar stores, and make up for their lost business. But really, it's just a point to leverage in the pursuit of expanding the stream of tax dollars in the US.
The argument states that Brick-and-Mortar stores aren't on an even playing field compared to Internet Retailers, but this is an invalid point. Brick-and-Mortar stores have the competitive advantage over Internet Retailers in terms of delivery. Internet Retailers may be able to impose lower costs, but many people don't want to, or don't have time to wait for an order.
This is just another way for Government to take more money from tax payers.
