Stop or prevent the High Quality Research Act from removing peer review from the NSF's grant approval process.

Created by D.C. on April 29, 2013

We the People, would ask the Obama administration to show public support for the National Science Foundations current peer reviewed grant process, specifically lend its support to opposing the proposed changes by Representative Smith (R-TX) which would remove the current system of scientific peer review with a much more ambiguous system.

Peer review is a crucial element of the scientific process, one that if removed opens the way for work that would be not only against the national interest, but would be grossly in favor of multinational businesses as opposed to the people.
