Stopping people for seat belt violations is fueling the ability of rogue officers to harass low income people. This behavior is creating bad situations for the good cops. The change in attitude alone after these disproportionately black folk stopped is jeopardizing already fractured lives. The distraction of flashing lights in a time when incident after incident of lives lost is horrifying. The statistics everywhere show that the majority of blacks stopped are innocent.
