In this time of fiscal house-cleaning let's start with the defense industry. It is time for our taxpayers to get some value for their tax dollars. Why are we paying the exorbitant salaries of defense industry executives? They should receive compensation no higher than any other federal employee. Anyone who works for a defense contractor should be paid at the rate of an equal level federal employee, not millions of dollars per year.
If we take the profit motive out of the war machine, perhaps we will find ourselves with fewer wars to fight.
We, the rest of the people, are very tired of working so hard to pay their way, only to hear about the amount of time these contractors spend on the golf course.
