We need to stop the outdated regulations of suppressors by the NFA. Suppressors are not a firearm they are merely an accessory. Therefore, they should not be classified as a Title II firearm. Suppressors, commonly referred to as "silencers" do not silence a firearm. They decrease the decibel level by around 30-35Db on average. This is around the same level of decrease that your hearing protection will do. The use if suppressors to reduce the risk of hearing related issues is very important. Some of the toughest gun control countries have very few regulations, if any, on the purchase and ownership of suppressors. It is common in parts of England to use suppressors to hunt in order to bring down noise pollution and make the noise created by hunting less of a nuisance to communities.
