please stop congress and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) from over-regulating the trucking industry by requiring electronic logs and on-board recorders (EOBR's) on all semi trucks. drivers have a hard enough time dealing with being away from home and trying to make money, EOBR's will only further hinder our ability to do both, as well as force the obtuse costs of installing and maintaining these units onto companies and independents.
most trucking companies are very small businesses which are already struggling with competitive markets and cheap freight, coupled with the ridiculous cost of fuel. this regulation will only harm small businesses and job creation in this already abysmal economy.
