Even though the death penalty is a good thing, the prisoner should not have to suffer. This petition states that death by firing squad should be the first, and possibly only option for capital punishment in all states. It is a quick, painless death, but the prisoner does not get to die with dignity, because they are being executed for extreme crimes.
