Stop Parental Alienation and save our nation's children from legal child abuse

Parental Alienation is a crime against children that should be punishable as first or second degree child abuse. After a divorce, many parents are alienating and impoverishing the non custodial parent of the child or children. Our child custody laws were designed for a time when only one parent worked and that isn't the case in these modern times. Both parents work on most cases, therefore, custody should start at 50/50, and the child's real expenses should be split down the middle. The mother isn't always the best choice for custodial parent, fathers need to start being considered also. If a parent is causing a child emotional trauma by bad-talking the non-custodial parent, not allowing the children to call the non-custodial parent, etc., they should be charged with abuse.
