For over 200 years, our country has become what it is today because of strong political leadership. Strong leadership in the face of political differences. Strong leadership that made decisions based on public interest rather than popular interest. Strong leadership willing to come across the aisle to do what is best for our country.
Recently, our nation's political process has become paralyzed by partisanship and brinksmanship. And though this petition is directed at the Obama Administration, this responsibility lies with all our elected officials.
