We, the people of the United States of America, request that all representatives, from the Senate and House of Representatives, cease to be paid for their positions until an agreement is made and federal pay is resumed to the 800,000 employees that will be furloughed in the event of a shutdown.
WE find it only fair that if federal workers are expected to work without pay due to the inability of Congress to come to an agreement that they shall work without pay as well and suffer the same affliction they are imposing on the federal workforce and their families.
We ask that the laws be amended and put into place for this potential shutdown and any future shutdowns that may occur.
