Stop paying Congressional lawmakers during a government shutdown.

Created by R.H. on October 01, 2013

Should a government shutdown happen again due to Congressional partisanship, members of Congress should not be the ones enjoying the comforts of a large paycheck while many Americans suffer.

When hundreds of thousands of lower level government employees are going to have to stop working, or continue working without being paid (e.g. air-traffic controllers, prison guards and Border Patrol agents), why do the members of Congress, who are quite fairly compensated, be allowed to continue receiving said compensation?
