Many of our elected government officials continue to receive financial compensation in the form of pensions after leaving office. In the beginning of our nations history, government positions were never intended to be a career, but rather a position one held with honor as he served our country. It is time we stop burdening the tax payers with the expense of paying for the officials' pensions they never should have been given in the first place.
