All elected officials in our government should no longer receive a paycheck for this work. They should be required to have a regular job to pay their own bills. This would help ensure that those still left want to do good work for our country and that they are putting the public interest first.
This will also help with Job Creation as they will now be a part of the workforce they seem to ignore and pay increases will follow once they realize they cannot support themselves or their families with the pay Americans are getting right now.
They should have to pay for health care as well.
