The California National Guard gave enlistelment bonuses to soldiers in order to boost enlistelment during the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars. The Pentagon has decided that nearly 10,000 soldiers must repay those bonuses, with interest, due to mistakes and fraud by the California National Guard. These soldiers entered into the contracts in good faith and served their country with honor. They had no idea that the bonuses were issued either by mistake or fraud so that the California National Guard could meet their enlistelment goals. We The People demand that Congress fix this embarrassing travesty of justice being levied against those who served with honor. Stop demanding repayment of the bonuses and repay those who have paid the Pentagon back already.
