A number of years ago, the voters of the state of California went to the polls and overwhelmingly voiced their support for the medical use of marijuana. To say that marijuana is a pancaea that can cure or fix anything is to exagerate, but only slightly. Literally thousands of addictive and toxic medications are, according to the federal government, legal for us to have prescribed to us. But marijuana,e ven though it has NEVER been comclusively proven to be anything more than very mildly psychologically addictive and has been proven to be less toxic than tobacco, is still considered illegal by the federal government, even in light of the proven medical benefits. End the tyranny of the Department of (IN)Justice and let those states with medical marijuana intiaitves govern themselves.
