Senators wrote a letter to Iran about US law on international treaties. They have been targeted mercilessly and it needs to stop. The Executive branch of our government needs to recognize that while it has executive powers the real United States are the citizens. While POTUS is elected by the citizenry they are only 2 people who represent the citizenry. The Legislative branch has hundreds of people who were chosen. 47 v 2 shows what the the United States wishes. The Admin. needs to understand that the Senators involved in this, are in a real way the USA, and they have the power and authority to act. The Logan act prohibits unauthorized individuals to intervene in negotiations but the Senate is authorized, and they are correct in saying that the Senate does cement the legality of treaties.
