This petition is an effort to bring attention to, &help prevent the ongoing schemes to further postpone Nigeria's elections on flimsy grounds.
We call on the Obama administration to put in place measures that will frustrate the Nigerian government's efforts to postpone the March 28 elections yet again. We would like to appeal to the United States to use its influence and resourcefulness to help Nigerians ensure that CREDIBLE elections are held come March 28, 2015.
Just recently, a former senator widely known for his involvement in election rigging was appointed as the Minister of Defence. We fear that this newly-appointed minister has come in with a mindset of, and believes that crime pays and will thus try to use the military once again to rig the March 28 presidential elections.
