Pharmaceutical companies have been acquiring generic drugs and getting approval from the FDA for exclusive distribution. Then they turn around and raise prices exponentially on drugs they didn't create, effectively raising costs for treatment for the government and people. They are, in essence, deciding who lives and dies.
