Beyond its sacred significance to many regional native people, the confluence of the Little Colorado and Colorado Rivers is one of the most powerful wilderness settings within Grand Canyon National Park. A proposal for developing a destination resort at the confluence of the Little Colorado River with the Colorado River on the Navajo Nation adjacent to Grand Canyon National Park intends to include hotels, an RV park, airport, restaurant and a tramway to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, 4,000 feet below.
