Stop police brutality. Police officers are not above the law. They cannot be allowed to murder unarmed civilians with impunity. They are public servants payed with taxpayers money. The law does not exempt police from punishment. They cannot be allowed to police themselves. Investigations of abuse must be independent, transparent, open to public scrutiny and not done behind closed doors. We the people demand accountability, fairness and equal justice. Police officers are EMPLOYEES of local government. They are not a gang nor an authority unto themselves. They are accountable to the representatives of the people and cannot do as they please. Police officers are out of control, abuse their authority, and must be reprimanded for their violent behavior. All rights of citizens must be preserved.
