According to a recently released document, the White House is operating under a policy whereby it can declare anyone, including United States citizens, as an imminent threat to the security of the county, and further, if high-ranking members of the executive branch feel that it is not feasible to detain this person, they can decide that this person can be killed by an unmanned drone strike. Again, this includes killing United States citizens.
This is wrong. No matter what country a person is a citizen of, our government should be better than this. We should not allow our government to kill, without even the possibility of questioning, trial, or any other mechanism of due process, whomever it considers a threat to national security.
This is wrong. Stop this policy.
