Admittedly, there is strong logic and reasoning in killing a bear or panther that has killed a human, but this petition is calling for that practice to end. Stop killing wild animals who have killed humans. Furthermore, stop killing animals who are just near or in our neighborhoods. There are several arguments for this change including animal rights and even highlighting some irrational decisions made by the deceased humans involved. However, the most prominent reason has to do with the overpopulation of our species and the dwindling spaces of wildlife habitat. We have taken their homes. We must fairly accept the consequences that are coming about with the animal's loss of habitat that has been caused by us. Killing has been our strategy, but we can devise better coping skills.
