The 7.9-magnitude quake trembled Nepal on April 25, 2015 killing nearly 9,000 people, injuring more than 18,000 and counting goes on, has devastated the nation, with hundreds of thousands losing their homes and possessions. Thousands from mountain districts have moved to the Valley whereas an estimated nearly 1 million reportedly left the Kathmandu Valley towards the districts in search of better safety options. Life is slowly gradually getting normal though.
Swift and adequate international assistance is desperately needed to assist the nation to recuperate in a dignified way. For international community, it' time to move beyond praying for Nepal but generously donate to this LDC for recovery and reconstruction as part of meaningfully attaining the post-2015 SDGs.
